An employer, be they an Italian citizen or foreign national who is legally resident in Italy, who wishes to hire an employee for seasonal work, must submit an application for a work authorisation to the Immigration Helpdesk (SUI) using the designated Immigration Quota forms. The application is however subject to Immigration Quota restrictions.
Who are seasonal workers
The employent sectors that fall under the quotas for seasonal subordinate employment are exclusively the argicultural and tourism sectors.
The minimum duration of the employment contract is 20 days and the maximum is 9 months.
