Social Security Cheque 2018: upgraded to € 5.889,00 for the year amount of income needed for family reunification, family cohesion and EU residence permit for long-term residents.Knowing the social security payment amount is important in that it is the sum that represents the minimum income that the immigrant citizen must have to avail of certain entitlements.
Being able to demonstrate that one's income is equal to the annual amount of the social security payment is one of the requirements for family reunification (increased by half, for each person to be reunified) and for the issuance of the EU long term residence permit.
