What is it?

As the emergency situation continued due to the health crisis, the Council continues its socio-economic support activity (already active since March) to citizens.

The channels of support and help are active at the Social Services of the Council which, through the professional social service, can be reached by those in need.

Extraordinary home assistance interventions have also been arranged for non self-sufficient people  who are in quarantine or positive.
In addition, Progetto Insieme the Together Project (Council, Cassa di Risparmio di Prato Foundation and Spes Docet) and the Pre Emergency Committee have made it possible to increase interventions for citizens in this acute phase, also providing food help and support for the needs of families.

How to ask for support?

To report the needs and needs of socio-economic and food support interventions, it is necessary to contact the Social Services by calling the toll-free number of the Social Services Single Access Point (PUA).

Hours: Monday and Thursday 9.00-13.00 and 15.00-17.00 and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9.00-13.00.

On Monday and Thursday, from 9.00 to 13.00, it will be possible to receive information in Chinese, and on Wednesdays, always from 9.00 to 13.00, in Urdu language.

Professional social workers from the Council of Prato and the Prato Area Health Society will respond.

The social workers, by telephone or by person (at the moment by appointment only) will check the reported situation for possible access to possible benefits and support.
