When to call Out of Hours service doctor?

For health problems arising at night or on holidays and pre-holidays, when your doctor is not on duty.

What can Out of Hours service doctor do?

1. provide assistance through direct telephone medical advice
2. make non-deferrable home visits
3. make office visits (where possible)
4. prescribing medications indicated for treatments that cannot be postponed, or necessary for the continuation of therapy whose interruption could worsen the person’s condition
5. issue certificates in cases of strict necessity and for a duration of max 3 days
6. referal to be admitted to hospital

When are these services available?

Working days: from 20.00 to 8.00 on the following day
Weekend: from 8.00 on Saturday to 8.00 on Monday
Public holidays during the week: from 10.00 on the day before the holiday until 8.00 on the first working day
